Disruptions are being reported in the operation of the Chinese chatbot Deepseek in Russia. Roskomnadzor denies blocking it

Users have begun complaining about disruptions in the operation of the Chinese chatbot Deepseek, according to data from the monitoring resources “Sboy.rf” and Downdetector.

The number of complaints has risen sharply over the past day. Downdetector shows that the peak came between 16:00 and 19:00. There was another peak in the morning, around 8:00–11:00. Some users write that the chatbot does not work without a VPN.

Roskomnadzor said it had not received any decisions from authorized bodies and had not introduced restrictions against Deepseek.

China’s Deepseek had remained one of the chatbots available in Russia completely free of charge. ChatGPT restricted access for users with Russian IP addresses back in 2022. To use Google Gemini or Claude, it is also necessary to change your IP address.
