Radio Liberty showed the destruction inside the Chornobyl National Museum in Kyiv

A correspondent for Radio Liberty’s Ukrainian service filmed a video at the Chornobyl National Museum, which was seriously damaged as a result of a Russian attack.

There is a lot of water here because firefighters were putting out the blaze after the strike, and the roof of the building is damaged. The museum recently opened an exhibition marking the 40th anniversary of the Chornobyl nuclear power plant disaster.

As the museum’s director said, literally all of the premises were affected, and some exhibition items have been lost. They are now removing from the museum what they managed to save.

🔵Earlier, Russia’s Defense Ministry said that “no strikes against Ukraine’s civilian infrastructure facilities were planned or carried out.”

🔵In addition to the Chornobyl Museum in Kyiv, other cultural institutions were also damaged, including the National Art Museum, the philharmonic hall, and the opera house. Educational institutions, residential buildings, a market, and supermarkets were also destroyed in the nighttime attack.
