Around Moscow (and effectively over all of central Russia) flights by small aircraft at altitudes up to five thousand meters will be banned

At the beginning of June, flights by civilian aircraft at altitudes up to 5,100 meters will be completely banned in the Moscow air zone, according to the channel of the Interregional Public Organization of Pilots and Aircraft Owners (AOPA).

The ban extends westward to the border with Belarus, northward to the border with the St. Petersburg flight zone, eastward to the border with the Yekaterinburg and Samara zones, and southward to the border with the zone where flights have been banned since the start of the full-scale war.

The ban will not apply to scheduled and charter flights, flights for medical assistance and evacuation, or aircraft carrying out aerial chemical work, monitoring of pipelines and power lines, and aviation work under state contracts.

It is unclear how long the ban will remain in effect.
