A court declared a song by a member of the “Boka and Zhoka” duo extremist symbolism of the AUE movement

A court in Sochi fined a local woman who sang the song “Thieves’ Fate” by Armenian chanson performer Boka (Boris Davidyan). Verstka found the relevant ruling in the court database.

According to the document, the woman sang “Thieves’ Fate” and recorded it on video, after which she posted the clip to her Instagram. A local police precinct officer noticed the post and drew up a protocol against her for displaying extremist symbols (Part 1, Article 20.3 of the Code of Administrative Offenses).

The video itself was sent for examination to the Sochi Forensic Criminalistics Center.

“The plot and emotional coloring romanticize the criminal way of life and glorify criminal acts; it is actively used in an environment connected with the criminal subculture, i.e. it is an attribute of the criminal international public movement ‘AUE,’” the center’s specialists said.

As a result, the court found the local woman guilty of an administrative offense and fined her 2,000 rubles. The woman herself also admitted guilt and “repented.” The video for which she was fined has already been deleted.

🩵The author of “Thieves’ Fate” is Boris Davidyan (Boka), who is considered a legend of Caucasian chanson. In 2014, he became widely known thanks to the “Boka and Zhoka” meme, which appeared because of a concert poster advertising a joint performance by Davidyan and his grandson Georgy Mkrtchyan.
