Vladimir Danilenko, who had long been a partner of St. Petersburg businessman Ilya Traber, was released from pretrial detention, sources for Fontanka, RBC, and RIA Novosti report.


According to Fontanka, the criminal prosecution of Danilenko was terminated due to his non-involvement.


Danilenko, like Traber, was arrested in June 2026 on suspicion of involvement in the 2020 murder of St. Petersburg businessman and municipal deputy Alexander Petrov, known as the “master of Vyborg.” On August 31, the criminal case against Traber was terminated “due to his complete non-involvement” in Petrov’s murder.
