A case has been opened against a participant in the FSB video about the preparation of attacks on Roskomnadzor employees for storing explosives. A source claims a grenade may have been planted on him

An 18-year-old resident of the Moscow region, Savely Osipov, who appeared in an FSB video about an allegedly planned attack on the leadership of Roskomnadzor, is accused of illegally acquiring and storing explosive substances. This is stated in the case materials available to Vyorstka.

The criminal case against Osipov was opened on April 18, 2026. According to investigators, he “entered into a criminal conspiracy” with an anonymous Telegram user with the nickname “Rein.” “Acting on his instructions,” on April 16 Osipov allegedly illegally acquired two explosive devices: he picked them up in Ivanovskie Prudy Park in Krasnogorsk, then brought them home and kept them in a desk drawer.

A Vyorstka source familiar with the progress of the investigation claims that this concerns a grenade that may have been planted on Osipov during the search on April 18; it also appeared in the FSB video report.

Osipov was detained in the case of 20-year-old Roman Prokofyev, who is accused of preparing a terrorist attack at the Timiryazev Academy. According to Vyorstka’s source, Osipov and Prokofyev did not know each other. Osipov’s case was separated into a different proceeding, and he was charged on the day of his detention.

Osipov’s detention in pretrial custody has already been extended several times. The court has rejected the defense’s arguments that such a preventive measure is excessive for an 18-year-old with no prior convictions and should be replaced with house arrest. Another hearing took place on August 5; Vyorstka’s source said the judge rejected the appeal, and Osipov was kept in custody until September.
