Roskomnadzor has held 85 telecom companies liable for failing to pass subscriber IP address data to the authorities. The supervisory agency told Izvestia this.


Officially, the measures are being explained as part of the fight against DDoS attacks, but experts say the data could also be used to identify and block VPNs.
