Roskomnadzor Denies Collecting IP Addresses of Telecom Users
This was stated by the agency in comments to TASS.
"Telecom operators provide data on the IP addresses that the operator assigns to equipment used by it and its users on the network. No user data is being collected," they said.
🔵Earlier, Izvestia reported that by May 21, Roskomnadzor had held 85 telecom companies liable for failing to provide the authorities with information about subscribers' IP addresses.
🔵The regulator clarified that companies must submit address information after receiving the relevant notification. In March 2026, Roskomnadzor sent such notifications to 1,359 telecom operators.
