Former Rosaviatsia head Aleksandr Neradko, who was accused of embezzling nearly 1 billion rubles during the construction of a new runway at Domodedovo, was transferred from pretrial detention to house arrest
This was reported by RBC, citing a participant in the proceedings and a source “familiar with the court’s decision.”
“During the hearing, the prosecutor said that the investigation is moving toward completion, so the need to keep 65-year-old Neradko in custody has disappeared,” a law enforcement source told TASS added. According to him, the court agreed with those arguments.
Neradko and his former deputy Konstantin Makhov were suspected of embezzling nearly 1 billion rubles during the construction of a new runway at Domodedovo in July; that was also when he was sent to pretrial detention. They did not admit guilt.
🔵Aleksandr Neradko served as head of Rosaviatsia from 2009 to 2023, after which he worked as an adviser to the CEO of the State Transport Leasing Company.
