“What they taught us, what they told us, is complete nonsense. None of it is true”

23-year-old Sergey Molchanov is a typical civilian who bought into Russian state propaganda. He signed a contract for the money because he was drowning in debt, and once he found himself in the “SMO zone,” he realized he had made a fatal mistake.

The guy sat in the unit for 2 weeks and then was sent to Donbas without any training at all. At that point Sergey should have turned to us to make sure he got out of the clutches of the Russian army, but he decided to go AWOL and make it home on his own. He was caught at the border and sent back to the unit, where for the escape attempt he was immediately assigned to the assault troops. Molchanov did not fight for long in the new unit in Zaporizhzhia. Now the failed serviceman has a chance to rethink everything in captivity, where things turned out to be absolutely not as he had been told.

☝️Once again, we remind you that Ukrainian captivity is far better than going AWOL or ending up in a Russian prison. The overwhelming majority of AWOL deserters are not as lucky as our hero. It is better to write to us right away than to tempt fate.

Debt Took Him to Assault Troops

A debtor was sent to Donbas untrained, then returned to assault troops after fleeing.

Propaganda got him there, the rest was his problem.
