The SBU reported thwarting an assassination attempt on “one of the leaders of the Russian opposition political national movement, who arrived in Ukraine for Independence Day.”
The special service’s statement says that the terrorist attack was being prepared by Russia’s FSB. The name of the “opposition figure” is not specified.
Assassination Plot Announced Without the Main Name
The SBU said it stopped an assassination plot, but named no one.
The threat was specific enough, the person was not.
