War. What is happening on day 1553
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky met on May 25 with lawmakers from the Servant of the People parliamentary faction. At the meeting, Zelensky told the lawmakers that “the possibility is being considered of ending the ‘hot phase’ of the war by November, provided security guarantees are granted” to Ukraine.
Russia’s Foreign Ministry threatened strikes on “decision-making centers” and urged foreigners, including diplomats, to leave Kyiv “as soon as possible.” EU Ambassador to Ukraine Katarina Mathernova said: “The European Union is not going anywhere. We are staying in Kyiv. We are staying with Ukraine.”
