German newspaper Tageszeitung came out with a profane cover in Russian. Because Russia is shutting down the Goethe-Institut

The German outlet Tageszeitung put a profane phrase in Russian on the cover of its September 4 issue: “Goethe, go fuck yourself!” This was the newspaper’s response to the Kremlin’s decision to terminate the work of Goethe-Institut branches in Russia in response to the closure of the Russian House in Berlin and the Russian consulate in Bonn.

The incorrect grammatical agreement was intentional: it is a literal translation of the title of the popular 2013 comedy “Fack ju Göhte,” which was also deliberately misspelled in the original (in Russia, the film was released under the title “Zachetnyy prepod”).
