Chubais is barred from entering Russia, Volodin said. That is how he commented on one deputy’s suggestion that the new law on ten-year statutes of limitations for privatization deals works in favor of the former head of Rusnano.

"Why are we in this chamber recalling those who are no longer even in the country? They are barred from coming back. They are hiding there under staircases from explosions. They now understand what they have done. But there is no return for them anymore, so why should we discuss them in vain? We need to focus on our own development," the State Duma speaker said.

Today deputies passed a bill that limits the statute of limitations for challenging state property privatization deals to ten years.
