❗️ Over the year, the number of people convicted under “terrorism” articles in Russia doubled: in 2025, courts handed down 1,776 verdicts

The past year was a record one for the number of people convicted under “terrorism” articles. At the same time, nearly half of all verdicts were issued under the article on “public calls for, justification of, or propaganda of terrorism,” that is, almost always for words posted on the internet.

In addition, the statistics record the continuation of conveyor-belt-style persecution under these articles of Ukrainian citizens, both prisoners of war and civilians.
