Ukrainian soldiers from the 225th Assault Regiment captured 64(!) POWs in Zaporizhzhia...

Original source

Ukrainian soldiers from the 225th Assault Regiment captured 64(!) prisoners of war in the Zaporizhzhia region, mostly men sent by their commanders to plant flags in supposedly captured villages that are in fact under AFU control.

For the “one-use” Russian infantrymen whom the command deliberately sends on one-way missions, this is the best possible outcome. They are no longer even shy about giving them the direct task of “enter a settlement, plant a flag on camera,” sending them without armor or weapons.

It is also noteworthy that these hapless assault troops were taken prisoner by a unit that Russian political officers use to scare their personnel, claiming that they do not take prisoners. As we can see, they do, and very much so; you just need to make it clear to the Ukrainians by any available means that you are surrendering. Ukrainian soldiers are more interested than anyone in taking occupiers prisoner. The main thing is not to do anything stupid and not to believe the horror stories of Russian propaganda.

Flag planted, men already written off

In Zaporizhzhia, 64 Russian assault troops were captured after being sent to plant flags.

The camera mattered more than the men.
