This is February 2026: the Z-portal "Military Review" claims that the Swedish-Ukrainian memorandum on the Gripen E is non-binding, because Sweden will not donate them and Ukraine does not have 
2 billion to buy them.


The irony is that Sweden not only donated 16 aircraft (older ones, the C/D variant, but still), but Ukraine also bought 20 Gripen E/F aircraft essentially with Russian money.


Because the sale of the "Gripens" became possible thanks to the indefinite freeze of Russian assets, which will be unfrozen only if reparations are paid to Ukraine :)


So Russia is paying Ukraine for weapons that will be used against it. Putin is, of course, a brilliant geostrategist, you’d have to look hard to find another like him.
