18-year-old conscript Danila Aksyonov was drafted into service on November 20, 2025, in Khabarovsk. A few months later, by his own account, he was forced under pressure to sign a contract and then sent to the war against Ukraine two days before the court hearing on its termination. Astra reported his story.

Aksyonov was made to sign the contract despite having flat feet. On the day the contract was signed, a "conversation sheet" with the serviceman was filled out, a document that is supposed to confirm voluntariness. In the field "who conducted the agitation activities," it says "no one," and under "conversation conducted by" it also says "no one."

On April 17, Aksyonov was taken to the Knyaze-Volkonskoye military town near Khabarovsk. This happened despite the fact that Danila had challenged the signing of the contract in court, and the hearing on his lawsuit had been scheduled for April 20. From Knyaze-Volkonskoye, Aksyonov was flown to Rostov; on April 26, he got in touch from near occupied Mariupol.

Danila was assigned to the 1st assault company, his mother said: "They promise UAVs, but in reality everyone gets sent into assaults."

Aksyonov's mother claims that Danila's case is not an isolated one: in Khabarovsk, she says, there is a "conveyor belt" in operation, and other conscripts have gone through the same scheme of "court, and the next day transfer to Knyaze-Volkonskoye."

Since May 14, Danila has not been in touch — he was sent on a combat mission from his unit's location in Mariupol.
