Drones attacked three tankers in the Black Sea
The attacks took place off Turkey’s northern coast, Reuters reports, citing the shipping agency Tribeca.
According to its data, drones attacked the tanker Yakov II (James II), sailing under the flag of Palau, about 80 kilometers north of the Turkeli area.
The tankers Altura and Velora, under the flag of Sierra Leone, were struck in a nearby area during an oil transfer. The crew members of the tankers were not injured.
All three vessels, it is claimed, are part of Russia’s “shadow fleet” and are under sanctions.
In recent months, there have been several reports of Ukrainian drone strikes on tankers from Russia’s “shadow fleet.” So far, neither Russia nor Ukraine has commented on the new attacks.
