Russia’s Industry and Trade Ministry said not all marketplace warehouses damaged by Ukrainian drone strikes need to be restored

Marketplace management and Russian authorities will decide by the end of 2026 whether all logistics complexes damaged as a result of Ukrainian drone strikes need to be restored, TASS reports.

For now, Russian Deputy Industry and Trade Minister Roman Chekushov said, it is premature to say that “100-percent restoration of exactly the logistics centers that existed” is required.

By the end of the year, we will understand how logistics will be rebuilt, what the scale of the damage is, and whether state participation in restoration is needed. If restoration of certain logistics capacities is needed at all.

Since mid-July, Ukraine has consistently attacked Wildberries’ largest warehouses in different regions of Russia with drones. Then drones also began striking warehouses belonging to another marketplace — Ozon.

The damage to Wildberries and sellers from drone strikes as of the beginning of August was estimated at hundreds of billions of rubles.

At the end of August, the Russian government approved support measures both for Wildberries sellers affected by the strikes on warehouses and for the marketplace itself. In particular, they were granted a tax deferral.
