In Yekaterinburg, a Yabloko candidate for deputy was arrested for ten days

Alexander Kudelkin, a Yabloko candidate for the Legislative Assembly of Sverdlovsk Oblast, was arrested for ten days in an administrative case over the display of “extremist symbols,” reports It’s My City.

Mediazona clarifies that the grounds for the arrest were social media posts with “symbols of the FBK and Nazi Germany.” In particular, a 2024 post said, “I am in no way comparing Belousov to Speer,” and a flag of Nazi Germany was visible in the attached image.

🔵Alexander Kudelkin was detained on September 7; on the same day, five more Yabloko candidates for deputy in the region were detained.

In court, Kudelkin was without a lawyer because he had been informed of the hearing only an hour and a half before it began, and the court refused to give him time to find a defense attorney.
