🥸 The Wall Street Journal writes that the Russian authorities have launched a program worth nearly

6 billion tied to life-extension technologies. This includes bioprinting tissues, gene therapy against aging, and even growing organs for transplantation in genetically modified mini-pigs.

According to the WSJ, the project is overseen by Putin’s daughter Maria Vorontsova and the head of the Kurchatov Institute, Putin ally Mikhail Kovalchuk. Putin himself, the paper notes, has long been interested in longevity, going as far as discussing organ replacement and living to 120 with Xi Jinping.

🥸 At the same time, the Russian State University for the Humanities has opened a vacancy for a researcher who is supposed to study the Putin family line in post-reform Russia, from 1861 to 1917. The topic is framed as the family’s transition from agriculture to small-scale urban entrepreneurship.
