Korea expert Andrei Lankov decides to stop speaking with journalists after a second protocol over ties to an ‘undesirable’ organization

He wrote about this on his channel. The day before, the scholar was issued a second administrative protocol over ties to an “undesirable” organization.

Lankov suggested that the reason may have been an interview he gave to a media outlet that has been designated “undesirable” in Russia. He does not know which one exactly.

“Given that a third ‘administrative’ case threatens very serious problems, perhaps the most sensible thing is simply to refuse interviews and conversations with any media outlets altogether. Well, or almost altogether,” the scholar said.
