Armenia was told to choose between the EU and the EAEU

A meeting of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council was held in Astana. It is reported that following it, Vladimir Putin, Alexander Lukashenko, Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, and Kyrgyz President Sadyr Japarov signed a joint statement concerning Armenia.

It states “the need to hold in Armenia, as soon as possible, a nationwide referendum on accession to the European Union or continued membership in the Eurasian Economic Union.”

🔵On May 22, Rospotrebnadzor banned supplies and circulation in Russia of the Armenian water brand Jermuk. The agency also banned the import of one brand of Armenian cognac and two wine brands.

🔵On May 28, Rosselkhoznadzor banned the import from Armenia of cucumbers, tomatoes, herbs, and strawberries.
