Putin’s rating resumed falling, VTsIOM says

VTsIOM recorded another drop in trust in Vladimir Putin and approval of his performance.

🔹Approval of “Putin’s work in the post of president” between May 18 and 24 was reported by 67.5% of respondents (down 1.9 percentage points compared with the previous week). The share of respondents who do not approve of his work rose by 1 percentage point, to 20.9%.

🔹Trust in Putin over the same period fell by 0.1 percentage points, to 73.7%. Distrust also declined, by 0.6 percentage points, to 20.6%.

🔵The drop in Putin’s ratings in the VTsIOM poll results came after two weeks of growth — which in turn followed a change in the survey methodology (they are now conducted using a “combination of telephone and door-to-door apartment surveys”).

🔵Before that, the center did not publish Putin’s rating for two weeks — this happened after seven weeks of reports about its decline.

New Method, Same Falling Rating

VTsIOM again recorded falling approval and trust for Putin.

Even the survey rewrite could not hold the numbers.
