According to information from the state project "I Want to Be with My Own", newly appointed Russian Federation Human Rights Commissioner Yana Lantratova has decided on the main areas of her work.

One such area, which her predecessor Tatyana Moskalkova failed to handle, will be the return of Russian civilians and citizens of other countries who support Russian values and who, for one reason or another, are on the territory of Ukraine.

This concerns the following categories of persons:

• residents of Kursk Oblast evacuated to the territory of Ukraine during the fighting;

• Russians held in Ukrainian migration centers for violating Ukraine's migration laws;

• clergy and persons connected with the Russian Orthodox Church;

• convicted collaborators who worked for Russian special services and occupation authorities and wish to leave for the Russian Federation on condition of the parallel return of Ukrainians from Russian captivity. Some of these convicts are featured on the website of the project "I Want to Be with My Own."

In total, the list that Lantratova will have to work with, which includes representatives of all four categories, numbers almost 800 people.

Let us recall that as of 29.05.2026, nearly 1,000 collaborators who voluntarily submitted applications to leave for the Russian Federation are participating in the state project "I Want to Be with My Own." Profiles of 410 of them have been published on the project's website.

We also recall that Ukraine has consistently proposed that the Russian authorities organize, through the project "I Want to Be with My Own," the departure to the Russian Federation of convicted Russian agents who worked directly for it, in exchange for the return of Ukrainians from Russian captivity. Some of them have been waiting to leave for more than two years.
