Tests of chemical warfare agents in Russia were conducted under the cover of LLC IFK “Silver Pharm” at 4 Lesoparkovaya in St. Petersburg, The Insider found. They were carried out under the guise of a pharmaceutical company’s work.

At the same address, the State Research Testing Institute of Military Medicine of the Defense Ministry was registered in 2015. It is headed by Sergei Chepur, a specialist in anticholinesterase poisons, the class to which Novichok belongs. For many years, Chepur advised officers from GRU military unit 29155, who poisoned Sergei and Yulia Skripal and Emilian Gebrev.
