MEPhI students were offered credit for three PE classes in exchange for electronic voting

This concerns only those who have Moscow registration.

Students at the Moscow Engineering Physics Institute are being promised credit for three PE attendances if they vote on September 18 in the State Duma elections through the Mos.ru website, the student project Groza writes.

Yegor Lazarev, a teacher in the football division of the physical education department at MEPhI’s Institute of General Professional Training, made this offer to students in an academic chat, a Groza reader said.

He clarified that the offer applies only to students with Moscow registration, and also asked that the details of those who agree to these terms be sent to the chat.

In addition, according to Groza, students at the Cheboksary branch of Moscow Polytechnic University are being forced to register for remote voting in the State Duma elections: the university is allegedly checking students’ phones to make sure they have registered for DEG.

Students are also being sent into the streets to campaign for United Russia; a separate VK chat, “Pickets Universities and Colleges,” was created for coordination and now has more than 100 participants. Students are allegedly being promised a payment for taking part, the Telegram channel Angry Chuvashia reports.
