Boris Johnson and an adviser to the German chancellor were returning from Kyiv by train andended up near a train that was hit by a Russian drone
On the morning of September 13, Russian forces struck the locomotive of a passenger train with a drone several kilometers from the border with Poland. The train crew, the press service of Ukrainian Railways reported, had been warned of the danger of an attack, the passengers were evacuated, and no one was injured.
Not far from that train, Der Spiegel writes, was a special train carrying European diplomats from Ukraine to Poland. According to the outlet, they included former British prime minister Boris Johnson and one of German Chancellor Günther Sautter’s closest advisers.
The train stopped, and the crew began preparing passengers for evacuation, but the alert was soon canceled and the train continued on its way.
