The Rodina party removed its list of allies and election platform from its website. The site had been down since the lawsuit to remove Yabloko was considered

The Rodina party, whose lawsuit led to Yabloko’s federal list being removed from the State Duma elections, has deleted its political platform from its website, as well as a list of allies with their logos, Verstka noticed.

According to data from the web archive, the site had previously been unavailable since mid-August and only started working today. When going to the “party information” section, the site invited visitors to join it, and before that to read the political platform and charter. As Verstka found, the link leading to the platform now no longer opens, while the others continue to work. The link to the platform has also disappeared from the site’s main page.

The “Our Allies” section, which was located after the party’s photo reports, was also removed from the site’s main page. Among the allies listed were, in particular, the nationalist Turkish party Vatan and the European far-right party Alliance for Peace and Freedom (APF). Links embedded in the logos led, among other places, to Facebook and YouTube. In addition, the Rodina party removed the phrase “Vote for the party” and a link to the Max messenger from the site footer.

Links to some news items also stopped working, including publications devoted to the State Duma elections. For example, materials about the submission of candidates’ documents for deputy seats and about Alexei Zhuravlev submitting documents to take part in the elections. At the same time, a photograph disappeared from one news item about the certification of the candidate list.

🟦Earlier, the Supreme Court, in response to a lawsuit by the Rodina party, removed Yabloko’s federal list from the State Duma elections. Among the reasons given for this decision were “foreign funding” and copyright infringement.
