The Russian government has introduced a temporary ban on aviation kerosene exports. The restriction will remain in effect until November 30, 2026.

The purpose of the measure is to ensure a stable situation on the domestic fuel market. Exceptions are предусмотрены for batches of aviation kerosene placed under a customs procedure before the resolution entered into force, supplies under intergovernmental agreements, as well as fuel in the technological tanks of aircraft used along the route.

According to open data, Russia produces about 11.6 million tons of aviation kerosene per year. Around 1 million tons are exported, mainly to CIS countries and Central Asia. Among the buyers are Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, as well as Afghanistan. In 2025, deliveries of aviation kerosene from Russia in that direction grew by about 50%.

\️⃣ The ban is being introduced against the backdrop of growing pressure on Russia’s fuel infrastructure. In recent months, UAV attacks on refineries, oil depots, and logistics facilities have become more frequent, leading to shutdowns or reduced utilization at certain enterprises and additional strain on the domestic fuel market. Against this backdrop, restrictions on gasoline sales were introduced in Crimea, including limits on fuel dispensing at gas stations.
