Political prisoner Oleg Tyryshkin died in pretrial detention

His common-law wife Galina Arysheva told SOTAvision about this.

According to her, Tyryshkin was transferred from a penal colony to SIZO-4 in Anzhero-Sudzhensk after security forces announced a new criminal case. The reason was comments the political prisoner had made on social media.

“They kept looking. They just could not calm down,” she noted.

The man’s sentence under the first verdict was supposed to end in October 2026. The article under which the new case was planned has not been reported.

In the pretrial detention center, he developed heart problems. He was taken to a hospital, where he died on February 4. Arysheva was told about his death only four days later, on February 8.
