Putin’s Pillar. How an unknown deputy got hold of billions (and what he did with them)

Investigation: youtu.be/iJik4nOvMrU

Sergey Lukin, 72, has been in politics for more than 20 years: he used to be a senator in the Federation Council, and now he serves as a deputy in the Voronezh Regional Duma for United Russia. While he was building his political career, the family construction business was expanding, and the deputy’s relatives were buying up real estate in Dubai — we found flats and apartments owned by them worth more than 4.5 billion rubles.

In our joint investigation with the Voronezh project Vornadzor, we explain how DSK, a company linked to Lukin’s family, became one of the region’s largest developers, and where the United Russia member’s family got so much Dubai real estate.
