Russians are being lured into the war with "rear-area SVO" job listings in China and Belarus

Ads have appeared on Avito offering people contracts for service in the "rear of the SVO" in Belarus or China, Verstka has found.

The ads often repeat each other almost word for word and in layout. The listings frequently seek people of any citizenship, including those "over 45," pensioners, and people "with health impairments" (fitness categories from "A" to "G," meaning up to and including those "temporarily unfit"), with no experience and no military ID, but with an expunged criminal record or a suspended sentence.

"No deployments to 'hоt spоts' or the line of cоmbat cоntаct. Why Belarus: a stable situation, developed infrastructure, close to home for many citizens. Service takes place on the territory of an allied state with all guarantees and payments from the Russian Defense Ministry," the recruiters note.

The ads offer 10 million rubles in sign-on money of unclear origin, debt write-offs of up to 10 million rubles, and benefits for family members. They also promise full payment for travel to the place of service, accommodation in dormitories or barracks, as well as food and equipment.

Exactly the same terms are offered by another employer for a "munitions production worker" in China. It is also described as a "calm rear area" with developed infrastructure under VOHR guard.

🟪Earlier, Verstka had already reported in detail on how the Defense Ministry deceitfully lures Russians into contract service. Candidates are offered jobs as drivers, guards, and builders in the rear. But in reality, men have no guarantees of such an assignment: they are signed on under standard contracts, while assignments are handled by unit commanders and training centers.
