The U.S. Congress has opened an investigation after reports that Putin-linked Kremlev sponsored Trump’s son’s wedding
Requests to the White House and Trump Jr. were sent by Robert Garcia, a Democrat on the U.S. House Oversight Committee, Axios writes.
He believes ProPublica’s investigation “may be the most serious allegation” against Trump Jr. to date.
Garcia is asking for all “documents, records, and correspondence between the White House and Donald Trump Jr. concerning Umar Kremlev,” including any warnings about his ties to Putin, the full guest list for the wedding, data on all wedding purchases and gifts “made by foreign nationals.”
