Rosselkhoznadzor has imposed new restrictions on products from Armenia.

“Rosselkhoznadzor is introducing temporary restrictions on the import of pome fruits, eggplants, potatoes, and dried fruits originating from and shipped from Armenia, as well as on the transit of the specified products to EAEU member states, due to the absence of mechanisms for those countries to confirm the receipt of quarantined products,” the agency’s statement says.

No Mechanism, But a Ban

Imports and transit from Armenia were restricted for fruit, eggplants, potatoes, and dried fruit.

When no mechanism exists, the ban does the job.
