Uralvagonzavod has renamed the Russian combat vehicle “Terminator” to “Spiridon”

“The renaming was carried out, among other things, taking into account the adopted amendments to a number of Russian legislative acts on protecting the Russian language from excessive use of foreign borrowings,” the plant’s press service said. It also noted that “Spiridon is a rare, but especially revered name among our people.”

By the way, Vladimir Putin’s grandfather was named Spiridon
