Last week, Takie Dela turned 11. Read their stories about life in modern Russia

Takie Dela is one of the few independent media outlets whose journalists still live and work inside Russia. The publication tells stories about people helping one another, speaks about social problems, and also supports charitable foundations and civic initiatives.

For a long time, Takie Dela managed to keep operating normally in Russia despite all the bans imposed on journalists, but at the end of April Roskomnadzor blocked the outlet’s website, supposedly over propaganda of “non-traditional relationships.” The authorities never specified any particular materials that might have violated Russian law, instead demanding that the entire site be taken down.

The blocking did not stop Takie Dela’s work. And today, what the outlet needs most is support and new readers.
