Lindsey Graham’s Russia sanctions bill passes procedural vote...

Original source

🤞Lindsey Graham’s Russia sanctions bill has passed a procedural vote.

214:211 - by a hair.

Republicans - 212:2.

Democrats - 2:209.

Each party had two defectors.

The two Republicans who voted against it were Andy Harris and Ralph Norman.

The two Democrats who voted with the Republicans and saved the bill were Jared Golden and Marie Gluesenkamp Perez.

Important: this does not mean that almost all Republicans are for it and almost all Democrats are against it - a procedural vote is more of a party loyalty check, and on a procedural vote they also vote on several bills as a package. In the final vote, the distribution of votes may be more varied.

The final vote is today at 15:45 Washington time (22:45 Moscow and Kyiv time).
