The son of Chechnya’s head, Adam Kadyrov, has acquired his own security unit

Chechnya now has a personal security unit for the son of the region’s head, Adam Kadyrov, under his own brand “Dustum K-13,” Verstka has found.

The fighters of this unit are based at the Akhmat SOBR facility in the ancestral village of Kadyrov senior, Akhmat-Yurt. In late 2025 and early 2026, Chechen media began publishing reports that employees of the “city group of the Dustum K-13 Central Base” were carrying out road raids — they stop drivers and inspect their cars.

On the Instagram account of the “Dustum K-13” center, which Verstka found, videos are posted showing what the “center’s employees” do besides raids. For example, in one video, men in “Dustum” caps train to shoot down drones and operate UAVs. There are also videos of drill training, shooting practice, and evacuating the wounded.

“A serviceman is a person who has chosen a path without a schedule, without a stable ‘9 to 6,’ without the option of spontaneously staying home when things are hard. It is a life in which there is always someone above you in rank, but at the same time you have an enormous sense of responsibility inside. For the country. For the family. For your choice,” says the post under one of the videos.

At the same time, the organization has never explained on its social media what specific military operations the fighters of the “Dustum” center have taken part in.
