Rutte told Russians being recruited to take part in the war that they would be “left to die in the mud” without “proper military training” and with “poor-quality” equipment


NATO Secretary General said this at a joint press conference in Kyiv with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.


“Guys like you go off to fight without proper military training. The equipment you are given will be poor quality. There is a very high probability that you will be killed or wounded in Ukraine. And most likely, if you are wounded, you will be left to die in the mud. So when it comes to tens of thousands of Russian casualties, these are not abstract figures. It will probably be you,” Mark Rutte noted.
