At SPIEF, “Orthodox oligarch” Malofeyev calls Russia’s use of nuclear weapons a “good scenario”

He said this while presenting a report on threats facing Russia through 2050 at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF).

Konstantin Malofeyev, together with the report’s co-author Alexander Dugin, presented three scenarios for the country’s development: inertial, bad, and positive.

In the bad scenario, Russia loses the war and its confrontation with the West, and by 2050 the “colonization of Russia” takes place. In the positive scenario, Russia gains a “clear image of victory in the ideological war,” annexes Crimea, Odesa, Kharkiv “and so on,” and the European Union collapses. Under the inertial scenario, “we are facing American and Chinese hegemony.”

“We do not consider the use of nuclear weapons to be an inertial scenario. We consider it a good one (scenario — editor’s note),” the businessman said.

Malofeyev said the report had been prepared by the Tsargrad Institute, and that a closed seminar had been held at the presidential RANEPA site for work on it.
