Vladimir Putin’s younger daughter, Katerina Tikhonova, spoke at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, which opened on Wednesday, “MO” noticed. She decided not to come to St. Petersburg, which was under attack by Ukrainian drones, and delivered her remarks by video link.

Its task is to select promising developments and determine sites for their implementation. In 11 months of work, the council compiled a register of 121 priority developments.

◾️Based on this register, a pilot project has already been launched to develop five molecules for the treatment of cancer and autoimmune diseases. Tikhonova said that in the future such drugs should not only be purchased by the state, but also enter the markets of “friendly countries.” At the same time, she acknowledged that today more than 90% of purchases of original drugs in Russia are Western-made.

◾️Separately, Tikhonova spoke about the creation of a digital platform based on artificial intelligence. According to her, Innopraktika, together with the Institute for System Programming of the Russian Academy of Sciences, has already developed a prototype of a system that is supposed to help researchers at the stages of drug creation, from analyzing global scientific trends to the work of interdisciplinary teams that will include scientists, students, startups, and employees of pharmaceutical companies. It is assumed that this will make it possible to speed up the arrival of new Russian medicines on the market.

◾️Tikhonova was listed as the CEO of the company Innopraktika; under this brand operates her NIR foundation, which is engaged in developing innovative and educational initiatives, including with the participation of Moscow State University. At the end of 2025, Tikhonova’s foundation earned a record amount of money in its history: 635 million rubles.

◾️Tikhonova herself is a billionaire, “MO” found. As of January 2025, 2.3 billion rubles were held in her account at Gazprombank, according to a leak about Russians’ bank deposits. On top of that amount, she also received 344 million in interest.

◾️Tikhonova’s civil partner is former artistic director of the Bavarian State Ballet and People’s Artist of Russia Igor Zelensky, journalists found out in 2022. They have a daughter together.
