Where Does Childhood Go? OVD-Info and Pervaya Liniya launched a psychological support service for parents and teenagers
In Russia, minors are increasingly becoming defendants in politically motivated cases. They face administrative and criminal prosecution, and they are added to the register of terrorists and extremists. In 2025 alone, teenagers were added to the Rosfinmonitoring register 12 times more often than in 2021.
On top of that, teenagers are under constant pressure in schools and universities: propaganda, “Important Conversations” lessons, contract-service ads, and the threat of conscription. For many parents, this becomes a source of confusion, constant anxiety, and even fear.
From June 1 to August 31, OVD-Info together with Pervaya Liniya launched the “Where Does Childhood Go” campaign, under which parents and teenagers can receive psychological help. Professional psychologists are working on the hotline and are ready to respond in text format. Consultations are free and anonymous.
On the campaign website, you can also find guides for children and parents: about propaganda at school, what to do at the military enlistment office, pressure over the Max messenger, and more.
