Rada Russkikh was released after 24 hours of administrative arrest and said she was beaten during her detention. According to the blogger, police planned to keep her under arrest for all three voting days, but after 24 hours she was freed.

“I spent 24 hours in the ‘monkey cage’; the story is insane. They tried to lock me up for the whole election, but they managed to ‘pull me out’ after a day. It was a blockbuster; they didn’t hit me hard, and I also managed to ‘terrorize’ everyone a bit,”

Russkikh said.

A court arrested her for 24 hours over Satanist symbols posted on social media; Satanism has been recognized in Russia as an extremist movement.

In 2024, Russkikh tried to become a candidate for president of Russia as a self-nominated candidate. To register, she needed 300,000 signatures, but she did not collect the required number.
