Conscripts are being increasingly forced to sign contracts with the Russian Defense Ministry. To do this, the authorities resort to intimidation, deception, and violence. Once a contract has already been signed, it is difficult to avoid being sent to the front, but it is even harder to get out of the war. That is exactly why human rights advocates recommend starting to act as early as possible and trying everything that could even theoretically help nullify the agreement.
