The Russian government says the fuel market has ‘partially stabilized’

This statement was made by Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak. According to him, the effect came from measures banning the export of petroleum products, supplying the market through imports, as well as increasing production volumes and postponing refinery maintenance deadlines.

“We see that these measures are producing results and the market is already partially stabilizing, restrictions are being lifted in many regions, and this is evident from the number of operating gas stations and the reduction in queues,” Novak said (quoted by TASS).

He added that in some regions “a tense situation still remains today, and today, in a manual, targeted mode, we discussed with companies how to supply these regions with petroleum products.”
