Vladimir Putin, in a conversation with the heads of news agencies at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, once again said that there is not a single direction on the front today where the Russian army is not advancing. The offensive has indeed accelerated recently, but nowhere near the scale the Russian president claims. The main successes of the Russian Armed Forces are tied to their advance in the area of the city of Kostiantynivka in the south of the Kramatorsk agglomeration, the main objective of the Russian command. Local offensives are taking place in other sectors as well. But overall, the plan to seize the entire Donetsk region by the end of 2026 is stalling.
