War. What Is Happening on Day 1563

The Ukrainian authorities asked the European Union not to extend for Ukrainian men of mobilization age the so-called Temporary Protection Directive. The directive expires in March 2027. EU countries are generally ready to extend it, but are considering changing the rules by excluding men aged 23 to 60 from the directive’s coverage. “In this war, one must fight and one must win. And for that, of course, it is very important that more men stay in Ukraine and fight,” said Swedish Migration Minister Johan Forssell.
