Russia has pulled air defenses to Moscow and St. Petersburg to protect the elites, leaving the regions exposed, says a Ukrainian member of parliament

This was stated by Roman Kostenko, secretary of the Verkhovna Rada committee on national security, defense, and intelligence, on Dozhd's broadcast.

"Russia is a very large country, they have a lot of air defense, but they have practically pulled all of it to Moscow, to certain places where the elites are located, and everything else (was left, editor's note) exposed. Especially oil industry facilities, we are destroying them. We simply believe that we do not need to carry out political strikes on Moscow or St. Petersburg. We need to act in such a way that Russia cannot continue this war economically. And the Russian elites are protecting themselves by pulling all the air defense to Moscow, some part to St. Petersburg, and in this way they sit there waiting for our drones. Meanwhile, we are working in other directions. This is normal, because we are fighting against military targets," the lawmaker noted.
